This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application dear embeiu ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App.

1. Information we collect

Account information: email address and display name (handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your password in plain text).
Couple information: partner names, anniversary date, optional couple photo, and an invite code used to pair two accounts.
Photos and captions: images you upload to the in-app gallery and any captions you add. These are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage and visible only to you and your paired partner.
Device identifiers: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration token used solely to deliver push notifications to your partner's device. We do not use this token for advertising.
Diagnostic data: crash logs and basic app-stability metrics collected automatically by Firebase Crashlytics.
Local storage: the App uses an on-device database (Hive) to cache couple and photo data for offline access. This cache stays on your device and is cleared when you delete the App or clear its data.

3. How we use your information

To create and authenticate your account.
To pair your account with your partner via the invite-code flow.
To sync your shared couple data (profile, gallery) between paired devices in real time.
To deliver a push notification to your partner when you post a new photo.
To diagnose crashes and improve app stability.
To cache data locally so the App works offline.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal data. Your data is shared only:

With your paired partner inside the App (couple profile, gallery, captions).
With Google Firebase infrastructure services that process data on our behalf. Each service is governed by Google's privacy commitments:
- Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google Play Services — policies.google.com/privacy

5. Data storage and retention

All data is stored in Firebase services (Google Cloud) and protected in transit using HTTPS/TLS encryption.
We retain your data for as long as your account exists.
Upon account deletion, all personal data (account, couple info, photos, captions, FCM token) is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Local cached data on your device is removed when you delete the App or clear its storage.

6. Push notifications

The App requests permission to send push notifications on Android 13+ and iOS. Notifications are sent only when your paired partner posts a new photo. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings or in-app preferences. Revoking permission does not affect any other App functionality.

7. Your rights — access and deletion

You can, at any time:

View and edit your account and couple profile inside the App.
Delete individual photos you have uploaded.
Leave a couple, which removes you from the shared space immediately.
Delete your account directly in the App (Profile → Data Management → Delete Account), which removes all your data from our servers within 30 days.
Request data deletion by email at thesavior9820@gmail.com. We will confirm and process the request within 30 days.

8. Age requirement

The App is intended for users aged 16 and older. It is designed for romantic couples and is not suitable for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at thesavior9820@gmail.com and we will delete the data promptly.

9. Security

We apply Firebase security rules to restrict data access to authenticated users only, and use TLS encryption for all data in transit. While no system is 100% secure, we follow industry-standard practices to protect your information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. For material changes, we will notify users via an in-app message. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
